Each year I put together my picks for the best Gadget Gifts to get that special someone on your Holiday Gift List. This year I decided to practice what I’ve been preaching and I’m releasing the guide as an iPad App as well as the web version. I built the App using Adobe InDesign CS6 and Adobe Creative Cloud. It’s interactive with videos, links and animation. The iPad App is a free download and while it’s focused on my top picks, you can access the full guide in the App as well.
Download it here:
I’ll be releasing the full version of my 2012 Guide on the web next week.
you are so awesome, Terry. π Happy holidays!
And where is the Android App? Without IPad AND Android (at least) ther is no joy, sorry.
@wonderer4711H, you are correct; and having the iPad and Android apps would reinforce how easy it is to rework files for different sized devices! π
Is there an old fashioned web site with the same thing?
As stated in the post, the web version is coming next week.
I look forward to this every year! Did you design it fully with Indesign? I’ve been trying to teach myself how to do it. Your videos have been so helpful.
Thanks and yes all InDesign and Photoshop.
Sorry Terry!
Looking after 2 under 2 children can do strange things to my reading!
Love your work Terry and your visit on “The Grid” added a fresh perspective on things!
Hi Terry,
I want to develop some interactive content for iPad, personal stuff, none commercial. I believe there are additional fees incurred beside owning the digital publishing suite. OTOH, the iBook author is a free download. Can you comment on the two products. Thanks.
I’ve never used iBooks Author. Not sure what the limits are other than it would be an iBook not an app.
Awesome! Ty! π
