So You Think You Can Be A Photoshop Evangelist?

As Adobe's Worldwide Creative Suite Design Evangelist, a lot of people walk up to me at trade shows or send me emails saying "I would love to have your job!" Well here's your chance to show Adobe and the world how great you are:

Calling all Photoshop gurus…

we are hosting a contest to find The Next Photoshop Evangelist and it could be YOU! To enter, you’ll need to submit a video showing us your Photoshop skills. The Grand Prize Winner will Win a trip to Photoshop World in Spring 2011 to demonstrate their video tutorial LIVE!

Now it's up to YOU! Find out the rules and more info on submitting your video here.

Here's a tip: having the coolest technique in the world doesn't mean much if you aren't good at explaining it to others. So while I'm sure that there are people out there that can do amazing work in Photoshop, to be an evangelist also means getting people excited and making them believe that they can do it too!

So let's see if you can impress me, because I am one of the judges 🙂

  1. Evangelist? After seeing the comments coming from the Photowalk webinar today, maybe Adobe or Kelby should concentrate on why you want to migrate to LR3 from 3rd party or old software. Apparently there are many who didn’t see the videos on the current generation of software from Adobe in regards to HDR, noise removal, camera raw, plug-ins, and Bridge. Maybe they need someone who has gone through the lessons, discounts, purchases, and installations of LR3 and PS CS5. You have to own the product before you can buy the training. I was surprised at the LR3 owners v. LR2 and the level of questions. Can I invest in Kelby Training stock?

    1. While I can’t speak for the other judges, I’m more interested in your technique and how you present it vs. a slick opening to your video.

      1. Thank you sir. I’m all over this contest. I don’t think that I’m the best out there in photoshop, but I’m the best at getting people excited about photoshop!

  2. Hi Terry; SOS! I desperately need to hire someone to translate my two published books into e-books for Kindle and I-pad. I have the design done in Quark and they also exist in hi-res pdf formats. Can you suggest someone who can translate my pdfs and get them looking good for the Ipad and Kindle? And get them uploaded? I can’t manage to do this and need a good outsource person.

    Thanks,
