Well today is the day! Apple is holding a special media event at 10 AM PST for the press and industry experts to see their "latest creation." Of course there is heavy speculation that this will be introduction of the long awaited Apple Tablet Device.
Other items on the rumor table
Speculation that Apple will roll out iPhone OS 4.0 and iLife 2010.
The big one is that AT&T's iPhone Exclusivity will end with this event. Not sure if this is true or again wishful thinking, but we will certainly see today. If the tablet has 3G connectivity and that connectivity is via Verizon, whether Apple announces anything about the iPhone or not, I think we'll have our answer. I have lot of Verizon using buddies waiting in the wings for this. So if this happens today, there will be champagne corks popping around the country. 🙂

I think I may become a fanboy of your blog. At my age of 63, (young in heart) I enjoy your skill to communicate adobe products and “those gadget” stuff.
I have suggested your blog to others here in my community. I have joined a Adobe users group in my town, (boo hoo) our UK basketball lost its first game last night. Going to “coffee meeting” about indesign and I will suggest your blog to the group.
As far as the the new apple product…..I am not “saved” yet and still using the evil empire’s PC.
It has been suggested to apart of the new elite in users group, I will need to have a burning of all window apps and cleanse my home from the evil influence…..So I guess I got to “get it” this new 10.5 tablet, so I can be accepted with the apple brethren. At least with this “buy in” I can at least sit in the back of the apple pews….

It is indeed the day of the Apple…I am very anxious to see this device! Been reading so many rumors about possible features and price-the suspense is too much!
Can’t wait for the tablet! This should revolutionize the computer. Apple always seems to get it right…
@Rolltop you are so sexy and I can’t wait to use you in so many versatile ways!! But I still can’t wait to go play with the Apple tablet…I think I’ll hold out for the Rolltop…I just won’t hold my breath.
I just need to figure out a rational explanation of the needs it will fill that my iPhone, MacBook, and MacPro can’t. 🙂

I think i’ll stick to the iPod Touch. It’s extemly portable. For the price of a tablet I can get top of the line Laptop
iPad…….Just as I thought it’s a huge iPod Touch. The only problem it won’t fit into my pocket when I Jog. LOL
My guess is that the reference to international use being available in June will coincide with Verizon getting the iPhone at that time.
