As you may know Adobe announced a deal for photographers to get Adobe Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5, 20GB of cloud storage and a Behance Prosite (professional customizable online portfolio – see mine here) for $9.99/month. However, with that deal you had to be a previous owner of Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5 or CS6. Unfortunately this excluded Education, Elements owners and Suite customers. What I find very disappointing is that $9.99 at today’s currency exchange rate is €(euro)6.50. But if you try to get this deal in Ireland Adobe ask €12.99 per month.
This is close to $18.00 (double the US deal price).
This hardly seems fair and is typical of the way Adobe Photoshop? price their products outside of the US.
From what I read, the price in a year will be the ‘current price’… I guess we’ll see if they hold it into the future or not. For the use I get from it, $10/month is a good price. At $20… I’d probably cancel and wish I’d put the $120 toward an upgrade of the ‘real’ package…!
