Acrobat XI is Here and Now Available to Adobe Creative Cloud Members

Adobe Acrobat XI ships today! If you’re an Adobe Creative Cloud Member you can download it right now. Just head to Application Manager and install it.

  1. 🙂 Thanks for the tip Terry! I haven’t looked into some of the new stuff yet, but with everything else remaining equal, my first impression is that it seems quicker and doesn’t hang as much as the previous version.

  2. It’s a disturbing trend in software to dumb down the interface to the lowest user, i.e. the mouse exclusively. In Acrobat XI (and probably earlier), Adobe has moved functions from the menus to the icon panel, slowing down users who previously could perform repetitive tasks via keyboard functions. Albeit, I have to work on a Mac, where Windows-like efficient keyboard mnemonics are non-existent, but Acrobat XI takes the cake. I won’t be upgrading from 9 Pro.
