  1. I got enough cash to buy an iPhone and plenty of accessories, But I’m waiting till after Macworld. Crossing my fingers and hoping that Apple will grace us with a 32GB iPhone! I have no problem with the 16GB but if they introduced a 32GB version at the same price point just a few days later I would be really aggravated!

  2. Elgato EyeTV Hybrid to watch and save TV, and convert old VHS’s to DVD.
Western Digital MyBook Studio Edition 1TB. FW800 works really fast with my MBP.
Macbook for my daughter and game PC for my son.

  3. I got an Ipod Touch 32gb, to replace my 5th Generation 60GB. I think it is an amazing device, but my old 5G worked well especially well when I run on a treadmill. I had my thumb trained just right to adjust volume or advance tracks with my old one. The touch is a little more involved to do those features on the run.

I also got the new earbuds. At first I thought they sounded terrible, but you have to use the right size buds with your ears. After doing that I noticed a notable difference from the stock pair, but I still have a little problem keeping them in my ears when exercising.

  4. I got the iPhone book by you and Scott Kelby and an iHome which now wakes me up to my favorite music each morning. Cool gadget.

I played Santa to myself earlier this year and got a Nikon 70-200VR f/2.8 and Tokina 11-16mm lenses for my D70 camera. Hoping to upgrade the camera by next Christmas. 🙂

  5. Pinnacle TV HD mini stick to go with the new MacBook I bought as a gift to myself a couple of weeks ago. Neat little gizmo. It replaces my old handheld analog TV.

  6. I go the new Nikon D90 with 18-105mm Lens. Just need some decent weather over here in the uk to try out this baby out not in my house with pictures of flowers.

Happy christmas and a merry new year to you all especially Terry

  7. Well Terry, I got a K-mart Chinese mini-ping-pong-set which I have already given away…:-), and a packet of handkerchiefs from my mother!

Seriously, a Canon 24-105 IS lens, 430EX flash and some beautiful Australian summer weather to test it all out on. What more could I ask for?

    Max

  8. Like Bob, I got a Canon 5D Mark II. I had it out in Maryland just before Christmas and took some low lights of the US Capital building and the Jefferson Memorial and WOW is all I have to say. Sure glad I invested in EF lenses with the XTi and 40D I had previously… Well ok, I still have them too.

  9. Several great gifts for me this year. I got a new job opportunity with my current employer covering the Southeast region of the U.S.! Having a good job at all in this economy is a blessing in and of itself. The big payoff (if all goes well) is that it may even finally provide me the opportunity to move further south to a warmer climate and somewhere nearer to big water! I can say I was truly fortunate to work with such great talent and great people the past two years. That’s what I got!!!

Oh – and since this is a tech blog, I did get an autographed “Second Edition – iPhone Book”

    Thanks Terry

  10. I got a Iphone 3G this year and love it, my favorite app is Pandora internet radio.
Put in an artist you like and it will play like music all day, and it is free!

  11. I got the iPhone 3g and the Apple Bluetooth. The iPhone is by far and away the greatest gadget I’ve ever owned. I’d never owned a bluetooth before so all the complaints about the Apple Bluetooth don’t bother me. I’ve had no problems with either. I couldn’t possibly pick which of my 106 apps I like best, but now my whole life is on that phone.
