Adobe Creative Cloud is Now Available

Although Adobe Creative Suite 6 shipped earlier this week, many were waiting on Creative Cloud as a way of upgrading to Creative Suite 6 for a low monthly cost with access to just about “everything!” That day has arrived as Creative Cloud is now available. Here’s a nice one page chart of the costs and what you get: Even if you don’t plan to go with a paid membership to Creative Cloud, you can still sign in and access your free Creative Cloud services here.

  1. I am very confused with Creative Cloud.

I have a CS 5.5 Design Premium. I can upgrade to CS 6. Is it better to go with Creative Cloud?

    1. As a 5.5 user you can either upgrade to Design and Web Premium CS6 OR go with an introductory offer to Creative Cloud for $29.95/month (1 year commitment) and have access to all of the applications and services. As far as which is better depends on the Apps you use. If you use more Apps then Creative Cloud is probably the better way to go.

  2. Terry,
I am downloading apps now as I write. Great value for me a single user. However, I was thinking one can get lightroom 4 too, I do not see it for the monthly price. Am I missing something?

  3. Hmmmm, I don’t see LightRoom in the list. Am I incorrect that it doesn’t come with the cloud services? If not, it instantly removes some high value for me personally.

  4. hi terry!
thanks for visiting helsinki. liked the premier and the previews quite a lot. glad to see all of these interesting advancenents in our loved adobe suite. i would have liked more about the web design and graphics handling capabilities, but of course everything was great to see first hand. enjoy the tour!

  5. Hi Terry
I currently use CS 5.5 Design Premium. If I sign up for Creative Cloud for $29.99 can I use a copy of the Cloud at my place of employment and another at home for learning purposes?

  6. Hi Terry,

we have being used to use “cs review” since it came out. we appreciated the possibility to have our customers make their comments to our layouts. now in cs6 this feature seems to be discontinued. is there really no alternative in the new creative cloud? thanks

  7. I downloaded some of the CS6 Creative Cloud apps yesterday and have had many issues mostly with the video applications. Premiere, Prelude and Encore crash upon opening with an error pop-up that says “Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules”. After scouring the web I’ve found that many are having these same issues. It has something to do with laptops that have dual graphics card capabilities. I found a workaround which is to disable my mobile Intel graphics card (which has a resolution of 1600 x 900)and I’ll be left with the AMD Radeon HD 6490M (which has, for some odd reason a top resolution of 1024 x 768). Then I can successfully open those apps and once they’re open I can re-enable the higher Intel card and my screen resolution goes back to 1600 and all is well. It’s a pain of a work-around but not a deal killer. Also in Encore CS6 there are no library contents (menus, buttons etc.). Which is a bummer. I’m currently waiting for Adobe to contact me back to explain what the deal is, why there is no library content and no mention of when or if it will be available. Also when I try kick a menu in Encore over to photoshop to edit, the link never completes. Photoshop pops over but the menu doesn’t open in photoshop. There seems to be a ton of bugs and irritations in CS6. I don’t think it’s ready for release at all. This is very unlike Adobe and I lost two full days of production fooling with buggy software that’s not ready for a production evironment. I am going to at this point ask for a refund, go back to using 5.5 and wait until issues like these get resolved. Maybe in 6 months I’ll try again.

  8. Hi Terry,
How do I download the Creative Cloud onto my Ipad? I don’t see 2012 creative cloud in the Apps, so do I download the apps one by one, say: Dreamweaver, and then Encore, etc., etc.?
Also, I tried to sign in to my adobe ID account on Ipad and I kept getting an error message. The same user id/password work fine on the computer. Do you know what I need to do?

    Thank you in advance!
