Category Archives: Thank You!

Yes, you read that right! My buddy and Photoshop Artist Bert Monroy (I'm in awe of what this guy can do with a blank Photoshop canvas) has completed his latest project. A 750,000 Layer Photoshop File of Times Square in NYC. Bert wanted to recreate a scene in Times Square using hand drawn art and photos that he has taken over the years. I'm also very proud and totally honored to be featured in it :
Check out Bert's new masterpiece here (using Zoomify technology, you can actually zoom in on it!) Pan around see who you can recognize.
Very cool Bert! You are amazing!

What a Fantastic Week in the Nordics!

i'm on the road and literally on the go in the airport. However, I wanted to take a moment to thank the thousands of you that came out to our Adobe Creative Suite 5 tour in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and of course the beautiful Copenhagen! I had a blast presenting the latest tips and techniques including a sneak peek at our NEW Digital Publishing solution featuring the iPad.

It was also fun having Julieanne Kost on the tour with myself, Jason Levine and Greg Rewis.

The crowds were amazing and when I walked into the Cinemaxx in Copenhagen I literally said "whoa!". It was PACKED!
Thanks again and I'm looking forward to coming back to the region soon.

Tech Blog – Site Update, “speed it up!” :)
Hi, this is just a quick note to my readers and many of you who have left comments or sent me messages about my tech blog being slow. First of all thanks for the heads-up. I've been working with my hosting partner (Network Solutions) on these issues for the past week and I think progress has been made. There was a combination of two-three things going on which caused the site to run slower than normal over the past few weeks. The first two being my fault. This is a WordPress blog and with WordPress you can have plug-ins that add enhancements to your site. My problem was that I was running too many plug-ins. The more plug-ins you have the more RAM it takes and I was bumping into the RAM limit imposed by my ISP. This is why you'd sometimes get the weird database connection issues. The second problem was having too much content on the blog coming from other sources (like the RSS feeds on my main page from my other sites). The way my WordPress page is currently setup each external piece of content/feed had to be loaded first before you'd see anything. This could cause the page to take 30 seconds to load (sometimes longer). So I've eliminated a lot of the external feeds until I have some time to have the PHP code looked at. Lastly there was a server outage at Network Solutions day before yesterday that caused my page to fail intermittently. That server has been fixed.
In my recent testing the page is loading in 10 seconds or less (it's a big page) on my hotel connection. So you should see a huge improvement starting now. I've also installed a new caching plug-in that should help as well. Thanks for your patience!

Celebrating my 300th Episode!

Today marks the 300th episode of my Adobe Creative Suite Video Podcast! I'm thrilled that the show has been such a success. When I first launched the Creative Suite Podcast back on February 13th, 2006 I had no idea that it would be the success that it has been.
The show has consistently ranked in the Top 10 of Software How-To Video Podcasts on iTunes

Wanna learn the Adobe Creative Suite? There’s an App for that!
My New iPhone App is Now Available!
As you may already know I have one of the Top Ranked Video Podcasts on iTunes! Each week I provide tips and tutorials on how to use the Adobe Creative Suite via the Adobe Creative Suite Video Podcast.

Well now there's an app for that! I'm very pleased to announce the immediate availability of my NEW iPhone App. The "Learn Adobe Creative with Terry White" (CS) not only gives you access to my near 300 Video Tutorials, but here's the catch – you will have access to videos that won't be posted anywhere else! That's right – BONUS CONTENT!
How does your app work?

Once you install the CS App you can go and watch any video you want as often as you want. The videos will be streamed to your iPhone or iPod touch. So you don't have to wait for them to download first before you start watching. Rewind, pause or skip ahead.
.

How is this App better than just downloading your Podcast?
I knew you were gonna ask that.
The biggest difference is the EXCLUSIVE Bonus Content. Starting with my Lightroom 3 Beta Episode you'll be able to tap the "Extras" button and see an additional tutorial that can't be seen anywhere else. These Episode Extras will be in the form of video or PDFs with additional tips, techniques, steps, etc., and only available to the users of this app! Also the app just makes it easier to get straight to my show and all of my episodes without the multiple taps it would take in the iTunes or iPod app.

That's right, you get to see more tips and more techniques from videos recorded specifically for the users of this app. This week I posted a video on Retouching in Photoshop CS4. In addition to that episode, there is a bonus clip that covers additional techniques.
What if I want to watch your tutorials offline?

There's a button for that. You can tap the "Download in iTunes" button and the app will take you right to my page on the iTunes store to download the episode of your choice right to your iPhone/iPod touch. Then you can watch it offline.
Will there be new content?
Absolutely! This is not a static app. It's the app that keeps on giving. On average I record at least one tutorial a week. So you'll have something new to watch all the time. My goal is to also provide Bonus content with each new episode from here on out as well.
How do I get it?
The "Learn the Creative Suite with Terry White" app is available for both the iPhone and the iPod touch. You can get it from the App Store for $1.99 here:
I hope you like it and if you do get it, Thank YOU!
P.S. Also do me a favor and if you like it don't forget to go back and rate it on the App Store. It helps!
