Since I would probably never watch a movie on a computer, this helps me none. When it comes with a DVD also, that to me is a good feature since most people I know beside me don’t own a blu ray yet, and no one I know owns more than 1 blu ray player.

The movie quality is on par (if not exactly the same) as the movies you would rent or buy from iTunes. Probably a little less than DVD quality. The small size is attributed to the MP4/H.264 compression.

The screen shot shows the movie size as 1GB. Curious to know what resolution that file is. And how does it look, say, full screen on a laptop?

Given that a normal data DVD can hold 4.7 GB a really visionary studio could put several different resolution versions on the same DVD.
