Polaris all the way... Kinda' R2-D2 running every Summers 10 years and counting. Except for raccoons occasionally mistaking it's floating hose as a plaything. Of course, here in Oregon, Summer just started last week. And just today I retrieved my wife's convertible from "Winter" storage from a friend's 12 car garage.
Best.

Memories! growing up IB NorCal, our large egg shaped pool was the site of many an hour of pool sweeper development. I saw the progression of the industry by Mr Arbeson (who went on to be a boat racer). From long metal arms to a self contained unit we called affectionately the octopus due to a series of long undulating hoses. The device set up water flow, out / into the filter and worked fabulously. Of corse I still had to skim the pool and fish out potato bugs everyday! Thx for the trip down memory lane! PS this was 50 years ago now!
