Being a frequent flyer, I understand how many precious minutes can be saved if your bag meets the TSA checkpoint friendly guidelines. That is why I bought this TSA friendly rolling briefcase (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/productDetail.aspx?id=15-point-4-inch-Slim-Rolling-Brief_KR305 ) from Briggs & Riley. Not only does it meet the TSA guidelines, but like Terry mentioned, it has separate pockets for cables, cords, headphones and other cords that can otherwise form an entangled mess and make it difficult for you at a security checkpoint.

The solar powered battery mentioned above sounds interesting. The company site lists ABC Warehouse stores in the Detroit area as dealers.
- Reasonably priced on Scosche site. Nice gift idea also.

Very cool bag. Here's something that I thought was right up your alley Terry, perfect for your travels. It's the solBAT II Solar Powered Backup battery charger by Scosche. You should check it out. It charges itself through the sun and then you can use your USB cable for your iPhone, iPod, etc... to recharge. Here's the link http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/1905. Hope you like it.

A very good idea, but I can see a couple design flaws (doesn't everything have a design flaw these days? LOL)

The big is one is that it looks like the design of the bag only lets it go in one way (the other would be way too wide), and I know TSA often likes to spin things in their own direction on the conveyor belt...
