Comments on: Adobe Announces New Versions of Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8

I am having the same problem. I have tried shutting off all of my virus and firewall programs as suggested in the installation information from Adobe, but the problem still persists. Have you gotten any futher information from Adobe, or elsewhere?

Would love to try Premiere Elements 8 but even though the package said it was okay to run on Vista, the program will not install. It says I do not have photoshop ELements 8 installed, which I do, and use, to first install Photoshop Elements 8 first, then retry installing Premiere Elements8.
Have done this dozens of times and will not let me install Premiere 8. Have read where many others have had the same problem and that Adobe has been useless helping to get it to run. There is nothing on their sight about what to do. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Do you have to pay for the entire new version or is there a lesser price just to pay for the upgrades??? I just bought elements 7 as well and am annoyed and do not want to pay for a whole new version.

Checking in on the AVCHD questions. Will Premiere Elements 8 edit HD video from my Sony HD video camera? I really like Photoshop Elements for organizing my photos, but old Premiere Elements would not handle HD Video so I had to buy Pinnacle 12. Will PE 8 edit HD video now?

WOW great video. I’ve been stumbling around the trial of PSE 8. Your instructions show how user friendly it really is. Am purchasing right now. Do you have any other video instructions or tutorials of PSE or PS ? You mentioned you had addressd the organizer . Where can these be found? Really nice job.Thanks

I agree John! I bought Elements 7 less than 6 months ago and I am disappointed that the upgrade is expensive at this short timeframe.

I will check to make sure, but yes I believe that both of those features are in PRE 8.
