Hey Terry: I just found out about the LaCie Core4 USB Hub and I think I'm going to have to add one to my bag. Très chic, great price and very portable! http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product.htm?pid=11282

If I'm traveling with lenses and multiple camera bodies then that all goes in my ThinkTank international Rollerbag (use the search above for my review) and then my clothes are checked. The computer bag hangs off my clothes rollerbag. So I'm only ever rolling one or two bags tops.

Hello Terry,
You carry all that stuff plus lenses in that small computer bag? If not, how do you roll 3 bags through the airport?

Jan,
Sorry I left out this important category. I've updated the post to reflect my choices in Noise Cancelling headphones.

I used to have a pair of Bose. While they do indeed knock out the airplane noise, they also let voices through - so the annoying salesman with his hearty fake laugh in the seat behind me gets even more annoying.

I now use Etymotic ER6i's. The fit in the ear and offer a true "cone of silence". I hear nothing but the music.

hey Terry,
I wonder how you get on a plane at all.... :)

To me you are missing an important gadget in your bag.
Since you are a (really) frequent traveller, i wonder if you have ever tried noise canceling headphones from Bose or Sennheiser to name a few?
[url]http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_0_5?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=noise+cancelling+headphones&sprefix=noise[\url]
If not, you should check it out. Definitely worth a try!
I bought a pair a couple of years ago, and for the first time I was actually able to sleep/rest on a plane. Plus, the mental fatigue from the constant low frequency noise was totally gone. I sometime just put them on with out plugging them in.. they work absolutely wonders.
There are several different models to chose from and they usually collapse into a small pouch.

Have you tried them?
