Finally, some real competition to iTunes! Unfortunately, if you live outside of the US, you can't use AmazonMP3. If you are one of those unlucky people, there is a site that searches several non-DRM music stores at once: http://www.songboxx.com. Youâ€™ll certainly find a store that will work for you.

Great Tech Blog! I saw it mentioned today in Scott Kelby’s Blogs to Read!

The MP3 development is great. While I fully support protecting the intellectual rights of artists/creators, DRM has gone out of control, and it obviously did not have the desired effect. If consumers are treated fairly, they are much more likely to reciprocate.

Peter, Thanks for pointing that I out. I also read someone else’s review and they did mention that Amazon was providing the artwork too. I saw that brief flash and just assumed that iTunes was supplying the artwork.

Hi Terry. I believe Amazon is providing the album art for their tracks, so I’m not sure iTunes added it in for you. I know when I’ve brought in mp3′s with art ti iTunes it still flashes that quick album art message, but it’s already there so I think it’s just reading it. I plan to test it out tonight.

But I’m with you. I may have found a new place to get my music!

The Amazon Downloader app can automatically import purchases into iTunes. In fact, this was the default setting for me.
