FYI... our new Air Sharing version 2.1 went live this week. This new version uses Apple's new In-App Purchase feature to allow you to enable all of the Pro functionality within Air Sharing, for $4.99 (the difference in price between Air Sharing and Air Sharing Pro).

Cheers!

I just tried the RSS feed again and it worked (hurrah), I don't know what was changed, but it certainly wasn't my end :-)

Hi I didn't know how to contact you hence I chose to comment on this post. I was just going through softwares which would be better for creating Anime. I watched your video on Youtube for Intuos 4 and was wondering if it can help me draw better coz my drawing skills are awful with a mouse.

I was also working on Organic Modeling in 3ds Max 2010 and Adobe photoshop CS4 (in combination).

But due to mouse I just couldn't handle precise topology lines across the model's face.

I guess I made myself clear enough for what purpose i need the tablet. So what's your advice on it.

Regards,
KK

Robert,

I assure you, the lack of a paid upgrade path is not a soulless ploy to amass ungodly wealth. Well not only that, anyway.

Until iPhone OS 3.0 was released, there was simply no mechanism to charge for a paid upgrade. We really wanted to have Air Sharing at $5, Air Sharing Pro at $10, and offer an upgrade to Pro for $5. Unfortunately, at the time, there was no way to do it. But now there is! So our mad computer scientists are scurrying about willy-nilly in the lab, assembling unholy concoctions of bits and bytes, to build a $5 upgrade. It will happen. It turns out to be a fair amount of work, because Apple leaves all of the details to us, like ensuring that you still have the upgraded features if you buy a new iPhone, or if you delete the app and then download again, and so on. But we'll get there! It will probably take a couple of months.

Oh, and Terry, thanks from all of us for the pat on the back. It is most gratifying. Cheers!

Seems like the Pro Version is very nice. I paid for this before the Pro version was released and now I have no way to upgrade. This ploy is becoming more popular in the store. Simply fork your code and make a new version so everyone has to pay again to get new features - no option to upgrade. I wont buy this until Apple gets this under control.

I love ASP, one of the best iPhone/iPod touch apps there is. Personally, I have had no problem with slowness copying large .pdf's over to my iPod touch. The latest update made .pdf viewing even more functional and fast.
