My favorite tethered choice is the Dell 2408WFP (and a separate DTV receiver). Works simultaneously as camera display and computer display. Has HDMI, DVI, DVI, Display Port, Component, Composite, and VGA inputs. Picture-in-Picture works for many combinations.

Can you provide the specifics for the set-up for you laptop and camera. Type of tripod, arm, brackets, etc. Very nice set-up.

Neat article and I agree 100% about this being the right direction but… doesn’t LaCie already make a wide gamut LCD montior with HDMI inputs. I think it goes for around a grand if I recall.

Thanks! What you seek is already here. My favorite GPS is the Garmin Nuvi 765T and of course I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for video editing. Just search the blog for stories on both.

Thanks so much for this post I have been curious about this lately since I have been contemplating a 30″ apple monitor, I can now cross this off my Terry White tech blog post wish list.
Now if only a follow up on your favorite or highly recommended GPS units and some software reviews more specifically, What software you like or use for editing video.
